Pastor’s Message – July 7, 2013

Dear Beloved Parishioners and Guests,

Frs. Frank, Ray & Michael express their gratitude for last Saturday’s Anniversary celebration elsewhere in the bulletin, but I too sincerely wish to thank all of you – those who diligently prepared this joyous event, those who took time out to pray at the Thanksgiving Liturgy and then happily rejoiced and shared your loving presence at the Wine & Cheese reception! Truly it was wonderful – Diakyu!!!!

During the summer I will be sharing special little “tid-bits” or special little stories for your enjoyment and delight in the Pastor’s Message page, e.g.,

I was shocked, confused, bewildered

                 As I entered Heaven’s door.

Not by the beauty of it all,

Nor the lights or its decor.

But it was the folks in Heaven

Who made me sputter and gasp-

The thieves, the liars, the sinners,

                 The alcoholics and the trash.

There stood the kid from seventh grade

Who swiped my lunch money twice.

Next to him was my old neighbour

               Who never said anything nice.

     Bob, who I always thought

        Was rotting away in hell,

Was sitting pretty on cloud nine,

                 Looking incredible well.

I nudged Jesus, “What’s the deal?

I would love to hear your take.

How’d all these sinners get up here?

God must’ve made a mistake.

‘And why is everyone so quiet,

So somber – give me a clue.”

“Hush, child,” He said,

                 they’re all in shock.

No one thought they’d be seeing you!”

JUDGE NOT!!!

“Every saint has a PAST… Every sinner has a FUTURE!”

May we wish all of you a relaxing, rejuvenating, recuperating, reviving,

restful summer! Be at peace and take the good Lord with

you wherever you are, wherever you go and give thanks…
