Blessed Nykyta – Bishop and Martyr

Today in our church we have the image of our first Bishop in Canada – Blessed Martyr Nykyta Budka.  This year we commemorate the 100th anniversary of his appointment to Canada.  He served his people faithfully under very difficult circumstances.  In poor health he reluctantly left Canada and was later martyred in Ukraine for his faith by the Communists.  This image is in our church today … Read More
